Part 3: Analytics
Date range
When looking at your analytics data, you may be interested in a specific period and not just the last 30 days. Let's look at how to select a date range.
In the top right corner, you can see the date range for the results you are viewing.
To change the date, click on that box. You now have some options. Start by selecting a period.
Then use the calendar to select the day, month, date range, etc, that you want to look at.
You can also compare your data, and you have three different options.
If you selected July as your main date range, the previous period will be June, the previous year is July the year before, and custom is whatever you want it to be.
Once you’re done, apply the settings.
By selecting specific date ranges, you can more easily analyze changes you've made on the website, or keep track of how the website has been performing over a longer time period.
However, you may not only want to filter by dates, you may also want to filter on the visitors or what they are doing on the website. For that, you create segments, and we'll look at how next.
